Plant Hashtags for Every Day of the Week and Tips on Promoting Your Instagram Plant Account

Updated: Apr 12, 2020

Some plants are so trendy and special that have a whole day of the week dedicated to them. Have you ever wondered where they came from and who started them? Would be so interesting to investigate!

Plant hashtags are a fun and easy way to plan your daily content on Instagram, to demonstrate your creativity. And, of course, one of the best ways to get noticed and connect with other members of the plant community.

If you are promoting your plant account, I suggest to follow those hashtags and explore what type of photos or plants are performing the best. For example, under #foliagefriday the top plants I currently see are Calatheas, Alocasias and many variegated types. Under #begoniamonday the top performers are girls twinning with their Begonia Maculatas wearing polka dot outfits. So gorgeous!

I have collected twenty one so far and hoping to add, so please share more if you know. Also, I added the amount of times each hashtag was used (see the numbers in brackets). This way you know which of them are most popular, but I also suggest to use the less popular and have more chances to be visible under the TOP trending posts.

Monday: #monsteramonday (259K), #begoniamonday (5K+), #maculatamonday (fewer than 100)

Friday: #philodendronfriday (38.8K), #fiddleleaffigfriday (1K+) or #flffriday (5K+), #fernfriday (1K+)

Saturday: #succulentsaturday (31.3K)

Sunday: #succulentsunday (92.8K), #sansevieriasunday (29.6K)

Do you have your own day of the week plant hashtag? Please comment below! Let’s get creative and make it popular too!
